"Merci pour Les Traumas" is a line from the edgy song "Maison" by French artist Ajar. The song talks about his complicated relationship with his family and how he has distanced himself from them. Similarly, this painting zooms in on the status of a person who is haunted by tragic familial memories. In many ways, these memories can continue to play over and over in our heads relentlessly.
