Renatto G.

Calles de Fuego portrays El Principito transformed into a witch, wearing a green cape and carrying a magical brush. With this brush, he creates stories hidden in the spaces between words, revealing the unseen and giving shape to emotions that are often left unspoken. His magic is not about escaping reality—it is about transforming it through art. His artistic power gives him the strength to remain in the calles de fuego—the streets of fire—a place that symbolizes pain, struggle, and the emotional battles we carry. Even with his magic, he is not invincible. His vulnerability is at the heart of the piece: "No soy tan fuerte. Duele. Cada golpe que me dan..." ("I'm not that strong. It hurts. Every blow I receive...") These words remind us that resilience does not mean never feeling pain. It means continuing to create, imagine, and move forward despite it. "Mímame, castígame, sobreviviré." ("Love me, punish me—I will survive.") express the tension between tenderness and hardship. Calles de Fuego is a reflection on the power of art to protect the spirit, to create meaning between words, and to find strength even while walking through fire.
